KARE is located at the pristine foothills of scenic Western Ghats of southern Tamilnadu. The college has obtained the Deemed to be University status in 2006. KARE has been serving the society for thirty eight years and it caters to the needs of the students from all walks of the society. KARE offers UG programmes, PG programmes and Ph.D programmes in various disciplines of Engineering, Science, Technology and Humanities. It is the first Institution in India to introduce a special B.Tech programme in engineering for the differently able (speech and hearing impaired) students. The Institution has been re-accredited by NAAC with \u2018A\u2019 grade with a CGPA of 3.11. Six UG programmes have been accredited by NBA under Tier-1. KARE continues its indefatigable work to get projects and research centres. KAREt has received DST funding to establish the National Centre for Advance Research in Discrete Mathematics. KARE has got the state of the art IRC with splendid high end instruments for advanced research in material sciences and life sciences. KARE\u2019s multi-storeyed separate hostels with plenty of facilities provide accommodation to thousands of students. KARE has created a world class swimming pool and indoor auditorium for sports. KARE gives utmost importance to Intra-mural and Extra mural activities for the holistic development of the students.\nKrishnankoil\u00a0is located in\u00a0Virudhunagar District, of\u00a0Tamil Nadu,\u00a0India. It is closer to the temple town of\u00a0Srivilliputhur\u00a0in the NH208 (national Highway). It is an\u00a0educational\u00a0hub of the West Virudhunagar district. A prime attraction of this place are a 1000 year old temple, 200 year old Hindu School, 135 year old Pennington Public Library. These are the remarkable historical evidence for cultural importance of this place. Thiruppavai, one of the pertinent constituent of devotional Tamil literature period was from this temple town. Another remarkable landmark of Srivilliputhur is a 11-tiered tower structure dedicated to the Lord of Srivilliputhur, known as Vatapatrasayee, an avatar of Lord Vishnu is the presiding deity of Srivilliputhur Divya Desam. The tower of this temple rises 192 feet high and is the official symbol of the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is said to have been built by Periyalvar, in the year 788 CE and he is believed to be the adopted father of the Temple Deity, with a purse of gold that he won in debates held in the palace of Pandya King Vallabhadeva.
